I've been watching a roost this past week or more and am frustrated with the Geese activity. If some of them do leave the roost, it is usually about 4:15 in the afternoon, which barely leaves anytime for them to reach their feeding area and still have time to shoot. Only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the flock ever leave.
Most of the time, the Geese are just eating, loafing, pooping, and sleeping at the roost. There is plenty of green grass, lots of water, and nothing to disturb them. They look too comfortable and smug for my liking.
I need some cold weather & snow, or a flock of ravenous Eagles to get this bunch of Geese off of their dead butts.
