Good for watching thousands fly a mile high over you. If you want front end birds I'd imagine around Devil's this weekend adults would be in the mood to stop. They had more snow, more water. Between there and MO its going to be mostly flyover

Yah I think Yankton would be good for front pushers this weekend.

Fowler you always seem be on the anxious side of not missing them.

How many weeks have the Snows been in SD already this year? Heck with next weeks weather forecast, I bet by the weekend we'll see open water on the small ponds right here in the metro. And usually SD is warmer than here. I bet the Snows will be in force at Aberdeen 1.5 weeks from now. I rest my case for Yankton this weekend VS 1.5 weeks from now. Any way, regardless if you go this, or next, or the following weekend, good luck hunting.

BTW, a tad over 1M at Squaw 2 days ago.

There was a couple thousand snows that never left SD...stayed on the MO all winter. Right now, a lot of the birds pushed back south with the snow and cold. Was -1 this morning in Sioux falls. The big push of adults will happen (again) this weekend. Next weekend we'll be inundated with freelancers and guides. Looking at how stretched out the birds are, I think I'll wait until the guides are north of US12 before i start setting spreads in southern SD.

If there's still a milli in Squaw I'm not rushing to SD. Like Tornado said, SD got snow and cold so they aren't pushing that hard there yet.

I wonder if I'm gonna be heading south into NE next weekend to be honest.

Hey Tornado, how bad are the guides and competition in SE SD? I know SD gets more way more guides, but how bad can it really be?

Last year I hunted SE ND and saw very few other hunters and it was covered in snows.

I cancelled this week and will wait. I have some friends that have been out in SD since last weekend; they report that the snow a few days ago pushed a lot of birds south. Very few seen after that.
