Snow Goose Hunters

Wed Dec 11, 2013 3:18 pm

How many snow goose hunters do we have on here?

Last couple of days I've been thinking about snow goose hunting and how I cannot wait for it to roll around again!

Well, I sure try to be one. ;) Sometimes I think that it is just another nature watching event, other times I manage to bag some. It is all good.

Just starting to make some more Silo-sock style dekes for next spring.

Maybe a MN Fowl group hunt can be scheduled? :)

I've tried it 3 times (once with Chuck) and am hooked. I haven't hit the mother lode yet. It seems like I am always a day too late. My wife Diane has joined me twice and she enjoys it too.

I generally spend a couple weekends in the mud. Went to Missouri last year the snow storm followed us. Going back down this year the end of February.

What state(s) are most of you guys chasing them? All SD so far for me.

Wow it looks like you did very well! If you or anyone else ever needs help setting a spread or an extra gun next Spring let me know. We've slowly been building a spread but so far it has mainly been nature watching with a few bagged on the hunts. Being out there in the Spring to watch the migration is a blast. Shooting is a bonus.
