Your Best New Euipment Purchase for This Year Was...

Mon Dec 16, 2013 10:50 am

I've got two,

1). Mr. Heater portable Cooker/Heater that runs off of small propane bottles. I found that it really throws out the heat inside of a flip over blind. If you're not using it for heat, it warms the coffee really nice too. On the average, a small bottle of propane last about 4-5 hours of steady use. It is also small enough to fit completely in the gun box. Fleet Farm has them for about $39.00

2). Lucky Duck, AA battery operated spinning decoy. This is a full sized decoy vs "baby decoys." On the average, I got about 6-hours of continuous use on the 4-batteries. It came with a two piece metal stake mounting system. Fleet Farm had them for about $40.00

Honestly didn't buy anything this year that I can think of. I just bought a pair of Under Armor HAW boots in the bargain cave for 80 bucks Saturday evening...liking them so far.

No purchases this year except the norm - broadheads and shells.

I did buy a glendel target but that was in the end of November and wont shoot it til the spring so jury is out yet on whether it was a good investment or not.

Lacrosse waders & another dozen teal decoys. Starting to use those more than mallards.

Ghg pro grade woody decoys. Many woody limits were shot over those this year.

Carlson's Black Cloud Long Range Choke- Really decreased the cripples, which saved both ducks and ammunition. A lot of dead on impact kills.

Big Foot rester shells

BSCC Mr. Big Goose call
BSCC Big Mamma Double Reed
BSCC Big Kahuna Goose Call

Baby Mojo with extension pole

Some used wigeon pro grades and gadwall dekes that I picked on TOS. I liked the different look it gave our spread...

A full sized truck. Used to drive a Ford Ranger. Getting a Silverado made for a much more accommodating hunting rig.
Craigslist Prostaff
