Hunt planned for NW MO Mar 3-5. It's hard to get excited with this much snow on the ground here.

And Williston ND the week after.

As for NW MO, with the warm wind this week, I am kind of surprised the geese were not in up into NW MO is good numbers.

Just got home from Mound city. I'd say there was over 100k there by Saturday. Cold weather Sunday had the birds going back south when we were leaving. Birds on sheet water in the fields but that all froze on Saturday night.

Yesterday's Squaw Creek report went from 19,000 down to 6.

How was the hunting?

Very slow. Some juvies on Saturday and of course a few Ross in the mix. We came home with around 40 birds.

That's a lot better than getting no birds at all.

A late spring this year for sure. I just wonder if the warm weather will turn on a dime and all of a sudden 60s in MO and SD 2 weeks from now???? It should prove to be another interesting spring for hunting.
