Season framework

Sat Nov 30, 2013 9:42 pm

So how did the season framework work for you? Although the season over tomorrow and very few ducks around I like the early opener with a split. All of our ducks showed up after the split and didn't leave until ice up.
Ask Al how to successfully nest wood ducks, see you next season.

Well the current Mn frame work gives a lot of options for the hunters and extends the season a bit for the die hard waterfowler. So am for it.

Personally if it is too warm out, I am not too enthused about hunting. One of these Openers we are going to be in the 80s and be sweating at 8AM.

Awesome
Allowed the hardcore MN waterfowler to extend his season.
The River was awesome the last week of the season.

being a river hunter in SE MN I think opener was too early that break wasn't long enough and wish the season was still open for another 2 weeks but I will take what we got!!!

One thing everyone needs to remember is now that MN has zones, breaks within a zone and so on it is a preexisting season structure and if the Fed tell us we only get a 45 or 30 day season within the FED window we as in MN can open and close each zone at diff. dates to play the calendar game. Look at NJ for am example, they are the size of our deer zone 3 and they can hunt ducks for almost 5 months if you are willing to travel.
You can bad mouth a mans gun, his shooting, and his women but bad mouth his dog them's fighting words.
