Haha no kidding, you have to be a special kind of special to not use these types of anchors based off the anchor coming back and hitting you.

I have used shock cord for the past 15 years on half my decoys and the other half is ACE/Greenhead Gear rubber straps. The comment about them not being the best in cold weather is fairly accurate, but I have hunted with them when its -15 and was able to use them the next day again, and the next season after that so it really doesn't matter. But overall the shock cord is far superior to the ACE and Greenhead Gear rubber straps.
