Retail Carlson's tubes?

Checking my usual haunts and I can only find turkey and "black cloud" on the rack.

Anyone know if Gander or Cabela's have a decent selection of tubes?

I try to avoid these stores at all cost, but the situation calls for sacrifice.

I could order through Carlson's web site but am concerned their shipping and my travel schedule won't quite get things done.

The runnings in town here has all the flush choke tubes you can want. It also has the black cloud ones.

Okay, it's a start. Will hit Running's in Monticello on my way north tomorrow.

Looking for the extended choke waterfowl 2 pack if I can pull it off.

If you find that, I'll take one for winn/500 chokes.

Joe's Sporting Goods in St. Paul has a rack of the combo packs....at least they did a few weeks ago.

If you order directly from Carlson's and ship them Priority Mail, you should have them in a day or two.

Good choice with the extended tubes.

Yeah, just not a fan of the "rush" fee. I have a tube in the barrel, just interested in changing it.

Joe's is good. Could swing user Thursday, and I know if I call I might actually get someone that will know if what I want is on the rack vs just saying "yeah, we got those" for me to show up and the only extended they have is the f'ing turkey tube.

The last time I set foot in Gander was 4 years ago and won't go back if I can help it.

Last year tried to work a gun at Cabela's and for some reason their guns are worth a 15% premium over anyone else in the market.

Hadn't been in there for three years and then it Ali came flooding back: bargain cave prices higher than standard retail; warranty return waders sold as "new" that still leaked.

I'll purchase from Cabela's online, typically Cyber Monday. But anymore, the service/knowledge/pricing is as good or better EVERYPLACE else.

Ended up ordering through Carlson's.

Lots of Carlson tunes at Running's, called Joe's and Scheel's, no Cremators 2 pack.

Ordered 2 pack + the close range. Full set, free ship, Wrench, case.

Shipped to buddy's place, hoping for Friday.

Let us know how those Cremator tubes work vs standard extended tubes.

Personally, I have found their standard extended tubes work better than my Wad Wizzard. Either way, Carlson makes some good stuff.

My first go'round with extended tubes, so nothing to compare it to.

I liked them. No statistical evidence to say they were better than the factory chokes I've always used.

Felt like they worked good. Needed 2 shells for finishing shots.

They don't seem to help bad shooting. Lost 1 bird, mallard at 40 yds. 2 shots, both behind and/or high. Assumption based on wound channels from a woodduck shot at 45 yds.

Best thing to do now is to pattern your tubes on some paper to see what is actually happening. I think that you will be surprised at the difference between the factory tubes and the extended tubes. In most cases, the extended tubes will pattern better.
