It appears that Savage is trying to give the Remington V3 a run for the money for a soft shooting, gas operated shotgun. A bit more pricey, but worth a look. Reviews seem to be good. Hopefully Alhman’s will have one to test out at their Shooters Roundup ( Not cancelled yet)

Do you know anyone who has tried the V-3, kid wanted one couple years back but took forever for them to come so he bought the Versa Max.................

I tried the V3 at Ahlman’s and liked it. Pointed really nice and felt balanced, with a little extra on the front end. Certainly a lot lighter than a Versa-Max.
