how often do you clean your shotgun?

I have heard of guys doing something similar (mixing ATF and oil) for their AR's.

Did a full disassembly of my Versa Max Saturday...first time since owning it for a little over 3 years. Took some work...cleaned that thing for about 4 hrs. Should be good to go for another 3 years.

Naw it was that bad...the whole outside of the gun where the barrel meets the receiver had thick powder built up on the camo. Can't use anything super abrasive on it so just took a lot of time. Took out the spring in the stock and everything. I was smoking some ribs at the time as well...so that took some of my attention away or I could have done it a little quicker probably.
