Cabela's Lightning Layout Blind Review

Fri Mar 28, 2014 5:46 pm

I purchased one of these last December during an on-line sale campaign. I got it shipped to my door for $120.00

It was very easy to assemble, and take down was "lightning" fast. After mudding it up during one of earlier thaws, I took it to the field the other day. It has a very low profile, about 16" and is lightweight. After applying corn stubble, it blended well with the corn field. It is 37" wide, which is roomy for most of us. The headrest was average, the comfort level after several hours was ok, and the face cover was good as well. All in all, not a bad little blind for the money.

One thing that I did not like about it initially, was the face cover. From the factory is was almost a bright gold in color. With a few sprays from some flat brown & khaki camo paint, all is well.
