They definitely don’t all pick up on your cues and choose to cooperate- be very thankful!!

My wife had a good trick... always gave her dog a milk bone when she left the house. I generally despise anything related to treat training but she explained it was a way to prevent “separation anxiety” ... hell, the dog looked forward to some quiet time with a snack! That way he didn’t feel like he was missing out on a good time with her.

We drop something in for the 'long' days/nights. If I'm running to the liquor store, no treats for him. Standard command is 'Kennel' or 'Kennel up'. But after a couple years he knows "Time to go to work" and "Bed time" means a quick piss outside then runs straight to his kennel when he gets in.

He got his first swim in today, loves it. Goes 100 mph to get that dummy.

So guess he's not scared of guns and loves water and retrieving...rest of the outcome of how he turns out is on me

Sprig is looking great. He looks a lot like my best buds dog.

I picked up my little girl Friday. She is a handful. She seems pretty smart so far and likes to retrieve.

Both dogs look impressive!

That girl almost has me opening the wallet, searching couch cushions, and selling plasma ...

I aged out. Also cut the pipeline. Never smart enough when I was younger to get paid for bopping the baloney.
