Im not necessarily the most experienced in dogs, but I'm pretty impressed with the focus this dog has for a puppy. Pretty fun watching how quick he learns things.

I'll be happy when the 3 AM bathroom breaks are over...he makes it about 5 hrs before he starts getting a little restless and whiney

Try leaving a radio on with low volume. It might help keep him sleeping through the night. It’s worked for us with puppies in the past. It keeps em company.

For the pups sake, just don’t play any damn country music.

Lil bastard...so sweet and loving first couple days. Now my hands are bloodied constantly wants to bite. Making progress though, knows sit, lay down, and the GF had to throw shake into the mix. Starting the slightly tougher stay and come commands now. He's fairly well potty trained, he's been going down to the entryway when he needs to get let out majority of the time, sometimes he's even holding the leash in his mouth. Fairly happy with the progress for 2 weeks

Went out and took down my deer cams today and took him with me, kind of his first off leash adventure. He did really good always stayed near me and when he was getting too far out he'd listen and come right back. Pretty fun, finally got to run him pretty hard and burn off some of that puppy energy, could tell he really enjoyed it too

My wife’s boss got a chessie pup about 2 months ago. Brings it to work daily so She has been telling me how this was the nicest pup she’s ever seen. Finally got to meet the pup today and was blown away. Most laid back, yet friendly and intelligent looking, pup I’ve ever seen.

If only we could KNOW what personality a pup would have when we bought them. Looking forward to talking to the wife’s boss and seeing how much of this was luck vs picking the right breeder and picking the right pup.
