‘Train the Trainer’ classes coming at Duluth Retriever Club

The Duluth Retriever Club will hold its annual “Train the Trainer” classes weekly on Tuesday nights starting May 13. The class is designed to teach the owners of retrieving breeds how to train their dogs for hunting and retrieving. In addition, the club will offer a “Beyond T3” class at the same time each week for those who want to do more advanced training with their dogs.

The programs are open to anyone wanting to make his or her dog into a better retriever. The cost for either program will be $50 for a DRC membership, $50 for the 10 class sessions, and $20 for a training DVD. Members also are asked to perform two days of volunteer work for the club. Those interested in either class should email DRCsecretary@gmail.com, or meet at the club house, 5476 Lester River Road, at 6 p.m. May 13.
