Time to build an ark? It's the 2nd-wettest April on record
April 29, 2014
By Melissa Turtinen, BMTN

The rain, wind and below-average temperatures continue for a third day Tuesday – and with it, a bit of snow mixed in.

The Twin Cities have seen just over 6 inches of rain this month, which brings this month to the second-wettest April on record (the record is 7 inches).

Only 1.3" here so far. We're sitting pretty good so we'll hopefully be able to get in the field early next week.

It'd be nice if some of that water could go into the Chisago chain of lakes and whitebear.

It is. A friend that lives on Chisago says he's had 6 inches of rain the last few days. The water is rushing into Chisago from N/S Center and N Linstrom.

That's awesome those lakes need it.

Good rains from SW metro N and E of there per this: http://www.intellicast.com/National/Pre ... n=USND0037 I had just shy of 4" in Chanhassen.

But SW Mn as others have said above missed the heavy rains. SW corner of Mn is still in drought conditions. http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/ But there was some lessening of the dry conditions this past week http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/MapsAndDa ... eMaps.aspx
