Great pics guys! I haven't posted pics online for some time so I thought I would share a few. It was a great season. It started slow the first few weeks for me in MN but once the divers showed up it was game on. Highlight of the season was having massive flocks of mallards in our face in ND cut corn during Nov. Biggest flock had to be around 500 birds with several that were 50 plus. I wish we would have had a gopro for the hunts. Drawback of the season was going the first season without my old hunting dog Miya. I thought about her everyday in the field this year.
Here is our first couples days take during our annual brown duck beatdown trip aka ND non-res opener. Could have had limits in short order in the fields had we been able to identify drakes.
A couple of the old timers in our group shot a couple banded pinnies and didn't even notice until we were back enjoying some cocktails at the camp.
A couple sunrises and sets.
Diver Time. More buffies and less goldies this year. Just never got cold enough for the Goldies before the season closed.
The young pup stepped up pretty good this year.
Late season Mallards. We had some rookies that we brought along that were having trouble picking out drakes. There was also some hens caught in stray fire due to the size of flocks we had hovering in. We missed the snows on this trip by one week but that was okay with me.
Lucky coot decoy brought em right in.
Transition into ice fishing.
