I have a field with 35 birds in it...not sure if I need decoys or if I should just walk up and shoot them. Young of the year in that flock can't fly yet.

Not really planning on it its still summer. Did find a field with 150 birds in it right of pelican but all that land is locked up tight

I have to go to the cities this weekend, but I'm planning on going out next week if things don't get all messed up by that time...

I'm stuck in purgatory for the next 35 months, but the normal group I hunt with is on birds in a number of fields. Based on talking with them this week, there appears to have been an incredible hatch and birds are near a 10 year high in the areas we hunt. Most likely the roosts will get blown though and it'll be all for nothing, so some jackass can cripple 6 or 7 on the water at legal shooting time.

The amount of boats in camo(and a ton with mud motors on the back) that I saw on the way home from game fair = blown roost.......
