Quack, the drake was done with Rutoleum 2X UltraCover Paint & Primer Colonial Red Satin. After it dried I "dusted" it with plain old Rustoleum Flat Protective Enamel in the darker brown (same color I did the hen's backs in).
For the lighter color on the hens I used the Rustoleum Camouflage in the light brown/beige color.
Both heads were primed with Rustoleum oil-based flat Black Protective Enamil before painting colors. I also used this for the black on the drakes. Primed the bodies over mastic/burlap w/ 2 coats of Kilz.
Picked up enamels at Michael's and made it up as I went for the bill colors.
