Some guys are saying morning movement is better than afternoon, but this past weekend didn't seem to matter for me. Know a guy that shot a nice one in Iowa this morning. Tomorrow night will be the last go round for me til I have to unwillingly join the pumpkin patch, will be back out Monday with a bow unless a big one comes by me with a gun in my hands

Everything I've seen personally is the am has been a touch better right now. My opinion is the mild temps paired with not real heavy rut activity just isn't forcing them on their feet in the afternoon. This time of year it takes a long time to "warm up" in the mornings but generally stays warm until sundown with these forecasts....

I'm by no means a WT expert but it just seems to be the case here

Most action I've seen and heard of is in the morning when it's still cool.

I'm excited to feel that temperature drop and wind change around 2-3 this afternoon.

Got a marketing lunch at 12, hopefully be done there by 1, head home and change and hopefully the heaviest of the rain has pushed through already and I can head out for one last crack

Ya. Had a 4 pt come in about 4:45. Walking to the truck there's a low spot in the field where I tossed a few handfuls of food plot seed and set my ground blind up. There was a big bodied deer in there but couldn't tell if it had antlers. Just kind of seemed like a buck. I started about 150 yards from it and moved closer trying to see through the binos...just too dark. It finally ran off when I got to about 80 yards.

I will be gun hunting near Rochester this weekend, won't be back out with a bow til Monday. Don't even want to shoot a deer with a gun but can't let a monster walk by I suppose. Gonna have to be a nice deer since I know that 10 pt is on my land.

Good luck all!

Heading back up, conditions are so good I'm going to try and sit all day today. Moved some stands around yesterday afternoon... Getting to be a grind but redbull and dip help

Big deer came in at about 730 I never knew existed. Just guessing on the hoof about mid 50's. Not overly wide, about the tips of his ears but tall. Had a 2" drop on his right side. 50 yards down wind where I've never seen a deer come from before. Caught me and casually walked out of my life...
