I'll echo everyone else's opinions...
I really thought with all the scraping and doe's near me it was going to be a banner early Nov. So did some of the better whitetail minds that I know, this weather killed it IMO. I still have pictures of great bucks and have them following doe's but its at 10:00 pm and later. Just nothing doing during the daytime. This last week/weekend and the days leading up to gun season combined I probably heard of 25 +/- P&Y's hitting the ground across MN and Iowa. I only heard of one being completely "rutted up". Most were solitary bucks feeding without thick necks or stinky glands. I heard a story here and there of a immature buck chasing a doe but for every one of those I heard alot of doe's with fawns, and bucks near doe's on a food plot but could have cared less about anything other then eating....
odd year for sure, I've never seen such a promising pre-rut followed by an otherwise absent rut
