I planted a 4 x 30 area in wildflowers in June, they are full blooming in the last week. Planted milkweeds too, I hope it helps the bees and butterflies.
Imagine if each of us planted a 100 s.f. plot of wildflowers in our yard.

Nicely done! Your backyard looks beautiful...I bet you enjoy it a lot, I'm jealous....miss having a backyard of my own to plant stuff.

Now the cynical answer to your question---I'd imagine there'd be a lot more monarchs to perish in vehicle collisions.

Ah man that reminds me of one August a few years back we went to shoot prairie dogs in South Dakota. The little yellow and white butterflies were thick, everyone of em going south. We had to stop at a car wash half way to pressure wash the radiator out.

Its favorite time of year to fish. Water temps begin to drop and the big girls slide shallow and put on the feed. Fish have been on a tear the last couple weeks with these cool nights. 47.5 chunker waiving goodbye from tonight.
