We lost that chance forever with the "Minnesota Miracle"- a crap play that, by design, would have ended the game. It was a prayer that something would happen that would allow us to win because the Zim staff called a play that purposefully was designed to come up short of what we needed with NO anticipation of yards after the catch
Our defense was destroyed on the ground and in the air.
Our offense could not hold onto the ball, including an insane amount of what looked like dropped passes. Cousins' ability to throw to the covered guy was on display last night.
On 4th and 2, with Seattle ready to punt I asked, "who's covering the stopper" (I don't know what the actual position is called), anyway, it was a PERFECT position for a fake punt.
We were out coached and out executed. Seattle converts 3rd and 5 for a TD. We give the ball up from 3rd and 3 on possession after choking through downs.
We're the bottom of the Top 1/3 of teams. It's not a bad place to be, but as predicted earlier in this thread Zim and crew can't win in "tight spots". They'll make the playoffs, maybe win their will card game. Them play some great football. But they'll come up short.
Would love to be wrong about that, but just came see enough Miracles to get them to NFC Championship, let alone Super Bowl
