I heard a interesting theory about why it come about by China.

They knew if it went pandemic that the economies of the world would collapse. Who would buy up the debt? Them. Then who's beholding to them? Who is going to buy the 2.5T of new US debt?
2nd reason is basically they knew Trump for sure would get reelected based on the economy of 5 months ago and he's been a thorn in their side, Badly faltering US economy and poor leadership = not getting reelected. A more socialist/Communist based POTUS to deal with then.

Dude, you know they already buy debt anyway, right? China owns about $1.1 trillion. Japan is 2nd, with about $1T
And that Chinese investors spent billions and billions on US real estate into 2012, they are only second in real estate ownership in the US, behind Japan.
You know the total debt in the US was $17T going into this right? So, even if the Chinese purchased ALL of the $2.5T, they would own around 15% of what will soon be $20T.... but give Congress one more year and General Budget request will add another $1-$2T, plus some more stimulus....
And that the shut down of their economy actually stopped trade into China. And that they don't care about Trump..... they just reversed tariffs and killed soybean/pork imports.
And that killing their own people to swing an election would mean they 'd have to retrain already trained cheap labor (increased cots) or replace with mechanization (increased cost). Not really the Chinese way.
I know it's not as fun to understand that America going into a Depression is bad for China, but fukc. There's so much random bullsh!t right now and no one can get out of their own damn way.
