Beavs are my go to open water casting bait. That’s what I got good one on a couple weeks ago.

Not sure where you are heading but water temps on the few pieces of water I have been recently were in low 70’s.

You try out their topwater muskrat bait yet? I'm really wanting to see how it works in the stump fields on the lake.

I have not. Let me know what you think of them.

Nothing like a topwater bite. I mainly throw fat bastards I have modified a bit or wirth Flaptails if I’m on pressured waters.

Whopper Plopper is a great lure....extremely well made too. It can take a beating and look as good as new when other lures would be shredded.

I got a creeper lure that I've had thrown through the air when they hit it so hard.....I believe it's called pappa chubby.

When are you heading up North? If you're interested you should swing by and I'll take you out on the little lake I'm on for a bit. If nothing else it might help break up the drive.
