Love a pair of 50 pound twins from 35 feet of water. Had on 2 others , 1 some how spit the circle hook and the other broke off on the motor. When it shot across right below the boat. Love fighting these big fish in shallow water. Anyone who says catching a big halibut is like pulling up a sheet of plywood is fishing to deep

Is that the launch they finally opened up? Gonna be rad for the guys with mud motors on and chit Hopefully they can get a hard freeze out atleast with this drought.

Ya that's the new one...dog could touch bottom as far out as i could throw his dummy anywhere with more like 6" water near the dock. I haven't been out on the lake but only other place I think you could launch a big boat is right off 119 where the very first launch was on south west end of lake...but I dunno if you could get from there to main part currently...it's down id say at least 3' from last summer

He doesn't like his haircut but the buzz cut was the only option after he decided to cut it himself a week or two back.

7.8lbs....next night my nephew got one that was roughly 2.5-3lbs.

I've been stuck doing a lot of dock fishing as a result of my unfortunate legal situation.....would've shown my face in the last picture, not that paranoid about it at this point in most ways.....but when you're walking a line that is as narrow as I'm on...to where it feels like you're walking the plank....well, it'd be really dumb to broadcast something that I think is as cool and harmless as me with a nice catfish in a lake they're not supposed to be since if it got in the hands of the wrong people right now? Fugg....it might tip the scales....sure as shit won't help me. I hope you peeps can understand.

I actually spent most of the day checking out the remnants of a riverboat that I'd heard of and read about, but never acrtually laid my own eyes on her until finally finding it that day....a century and a half old....not much left of 'er, but pretty cool nonetheless.

P.S. I feel the same about guys who talk shit about walleyes fighting like a wet towel.

I missed a nice one the other day, my brother-in-law pulled up a 21," and a minute later out of the corner of my eye....wham! His rod goes straight down out of his hands.....he yells over to my nephew to hand him his rod, thinks he could fish it out...wham! Reels in an 18" that i net, has two 1/4oz jigs right next to each other on it's lower lip....I pull in the line off the other....get my bro's rod back.

Not bad for an 18" fish that is a wet towel when hooked.....

Won't be much big boat pressure on pelican this year
