Again, weather is the primary factor behind why I want to move.....Fargo is even worse than Brainerd.

Luvurne or Pipestone?????? Close enough to the MO River, plus close to Sioux Falls for hoes. Basically everywhere sucks in one way or another.

If I was closer to cold water fisheries, I think I would wanna live in northeast Montana. Just eek out an existence on the high plains and always have an excuse to be miserable.

Florida is one of the last places I’d want to live. It’d be just above the east coast and California towards the bottom of my list.

Idaho, washington or Alaska would be high on the list. Biggest drawback to Alaska is the dark winters. I know a few guides who live up there that make enough money spring through fall that they can take winters off. They spend a couple months of the winter in Mexico fishing the salt. Pretty damn good gig if you ask me.

Kinda along the lines I was thinking...if you like MN enough when the weather is nice maybe head south of the border for a month or three during the worst of it. Kinda what I'd like to do. Honestly don't think I need months away though I think a trip or two to break up the monotony from new years to end of Feb would be enough for me. This year was truly terrible til a few weeks ago though...spring like this would maybe need another emergency trip

DNR and butt hurt anglers go, "There isn't any quality sunfish anymore!?"

Try harder dipshits.....East Central MN isn't some hot bed for large sunfish fisheries yet I have no problem catching 8.5" to ones a little over 10" off my dock all damn day.....

It's all about having big fish.....if you want big panfish.....you start with small/balanced numbers of big pike, big walleyes....hell, big catfish do wonders for balancing out a lake.....

Panfish/sunnies will always grow big in a lake that supports other big fish. Small sunnies are a symptom of the problem....they aren't The Problem. You can't manage them in a vacuum....same as with any other fish. The biggest problem with the way DNR fisheries operates is they think they can manage a specific type of fish in a system, instead of managing the system. Small sunfish aren't endemic to themselves. It's a holistic problem that needs a holistic solution. Thinking it's a specific problem in need of a specific solution is going to produce specific results....i.e. shit.
