It's also not muscle, that's how much I swelled from a wasp sting last night...not sure why I have all these weird medical things kinda starting to feel like I'm f'd long term and something weird will take me out.its the size and thickness of a very large chicken breast basically

None of the major symptoms of anaphylaxis...anyone else swell up this bad after sting? I got stung on the arm 2 months ago and swelled up bad too but this is quite a bit worse.

You shoulda placed your girlfriends dildo on the counter for the pic just for old times sake.

That’s not normal. Might want to talk to your doc about getting an epipen. A sting to the throat or neck could be the end of you if it swells up like that. Benadryl helps.

Kinda what I was thinking if I get hit in the wrong spot might not be good...took til overnight to swell like that though. 2 times in 2 months probably haven't been stung in 20 yrs before that. Nasty buggers

+1 on Nershi. My kid has the bad allergies as in "eat the peanut you die" type.

Based on my kid, these type of reactions build on one another, so each next one is X% worse than the last one. It's like a weird reverse immunity, where you'd normally get better against the next one.

If it gets bad, as in the closing throat, Benadryl can only help a little. Epinephrine, then get your ass to the ER. NEVER think it got better on its own. Too much experience with those reactions.

Ya it's tough for me cause I don't go in for everything.

I have a pretty good sense when something is awful wrong...like the detached retina and my throat thing this spring and went in timely for both.

And to me the swelling is alarming from this but have no other signs of serious allergic reaction. I don't have that nagging gut feeling this is something serious I should go in for.

Then you read online that people who have severe LOCALIZED allergic reaction can have swelling 10" in diameter last 5-10 days and can actually continue to get worse in the first 48 hrs. VS severe whole body allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).

I mean it's been 24 hrs think I'm in the clear outside discomfort

But it's alarming enough I'll probably consult a doctor in the future to see if having an EpiPen is a good idea for me. Cause you're not the first I've heard talk about how each of the following instances gets worse and worse.

And last time I was stung was probably 20 yrs ago in the back of my neck and don't recall swelling like this at all. The arm 2 months ago was bad but not like this and lasted approximately 10 days. So what happens next time I get stung
