Bighorn Mountains, Mule Deer. Haven’t seen much but only been here a day. So many ATVs and road hunters and so much land. Kind of overwhelming.

Sick of listening to ATVs so we are down in the foothills checking out canyons now. So damn warm. The biologist told us they will sit tight all day until the last hour of light. Feels nice tho

I’ll be in mule deer country Saturday but a it’s a lot flatter country and about 1000 miles due north of you.

DD - looks fabulous. Seeing anything other than mule deer, like quail and other "exotic" sh!t we don't have here. I think their grouse are different and insanely larger

Saw a dusky grouse I believe, or maybe it’s a blue grouse. Very big. Very dumb. Could have killed it with a rock.
Also saw some chukkar today. Wanted to snipe one, but no small game license.
Saw a fuggin massive 6x6 elk today. He was kinda out in the desert, not sure what he was doing at this elevation but he seemed to be on a mission.
I have also nerded out on song bird species. I have seen a Townsend’s Solitaire and a mountain blue bird.
Also a fair amount of cheeseheads.
