6mm GT is a prs cartridge, I read up on it and liked it so I had a rifle rebarreled for it. Kinda wish I would’ve gone 6 creedmoor but I’ve already got the 6.5.

But Mine does too.... when I first thought about MILS i thought it was stupid. After learning it I'd never go back. I still have 1- MOA scope because it's dead nutz holds zero no matter the abuse (aside from that it was stupidly expensive) and when I go back to that rifle I immediately subconsciously always find myself converting the distance with moa 1/4" blah blah.... going to MILS it's closer to 1/3 but the fractions and equations get left behind and it's just a simple number.... no mental gymnastics trying to convert just dial and dump.

Plus the reticle becomes a rangefinder in a pinch.....

Kodiak is a miserable and amazing place at the same time. There are lots of deer to he had if you can deal with the 30-45 mph winds with the 65mph wind gusts along with rain sleet snow and hail. Saw 1 brown bear about half mile from camp and just cruised on by. Pretty sure bears were walking by camp at night due to the giant piles of shit we noticed. Had a electric fence up and either they didnt mess with is or got zapped because none of our meat got messed with. Watch tons of eagles feast on our gut piles as well as fox hunt mice. Not to mention the barrows golden eyes, buffleheads, bluebills and mallards hanging out around camp. Next time we will be bringing waterfowl loads so we can shoot some ducks when we are done with deer. Deer limits are 3 a piece but we were happy with each of us getting 2. Had a buck within 100 yards of the tent 1 morning and let it walk.

Yeah I feel pretty fortunate to be able to get out and see what there is to offer up here. This black tail hunt is probably the most affordable of all fly in style hunts. 1 more.
