Farm ducks?

Looks like the legendary big push might be coming next weekend if the weather holds.

Good luck deer hunters.

The Minnesota valley has been filling up all week, impressive amount of birds actually. Not sure what that means for the rest of the state but it can’t be bad.

Passed on an 8pt yesterday...only had a short time to decide and didn't think it was real big...seemed to grow as it walked away but think it was just regret manifesting in my imagination

Hunt tonight and tomorrow morning and drive home...see what I decide to do for next weekend. Cousin who I'm not close to off'ed himself in state mental hospital and of course visitation is next Fri evening and service Saturday. Might skip visitation and hunt Thu evening and Fri, come home then hunt my own land Sunday close to home if tag is still open. First deer season I have freedom in long time then this random shat happens

Greenheads!

Second greater this season. Hadn’t seen one in about 10 years

MLDS- that's a sh!t sandwich all the way around.

Deer woods were weird this year. Each stand seemed like a lone chickadee. One blue jay, one pileated wood pecker. Jumped a few grouse. But for the most part, the woods seemed empty. Don't if it was drought, the constant east and south winds we've had all fall, or just that literally everything including the deer wanted to be somewhere else. Heard 3 shots "in the neighborhood" between Sat and Sun. Dismal.

I hear ya...see MN was pretty quiet. Although the more I hear about the land we hunt less shocked I am. We tried winning the Powerball Saturday as a deer camp so we could buy up all our hunting land...no dice

Anyone able to time the epic big push of birds pushing out of the Dakota's with the blizzard approaching?

I’ll be out Friday then hitting big water Saturday and Sunday. Should be interesting.

Fingers crossed for Friday. I haven’t been out for 2 weeks due to deer hunting season and trips. Now the wife is sick as all get up….typical for this time of year I guess
