I was young too. One time was when i was about 20 and the other I was about 31 or so.
Both times I was up at least 36 hours straight and minimal sleep the nights prior. (now that right there is a recipe for a disaster). In my later 30s a couple of times I did just that coming back from ND or MB. One time I stopped at FF and another at Monticello (only an hour away from home), I had stopped several times to walk around in the cool air on my way down I-94, but I was still so sleepy I was definately impaired, so I slept for 3 hours, woke up and then proceded home.
BTW, a FYI type of thing, I remember reading an article a year or 2 back that said a sleep deprived person while driving is as bad as being drunk on the road.
Or ask the train operator that crashed that subway train out east last week when he fell a sleep.
For everyone reading this, do us us all a favor, if you are overly tired, just pull over and get a few hours of sleep.

God, help me be the man that my dog thinks that I am.
