All of our oaks contracted "smooth bark disease"!?!? this spring all the bark started to sluff off and I thought they all died!!! after some research it is a fungus that gets between the live part of the bark and the dead. basically creates a void in that layer and the dead bark falls off the tree. From what I've read it won't kill the tree.

^^^^ That's the 1st I've heard of it. I just knew about Oak Wilt. Curious, which type of Oaks are these that got the disease? Red, White, Pin, Burr, etc...
