Sorry to hear about your loss. I was devastated when the family dog who we got when I was 16 in high school (he absolutely bonded to me cause I took him hunting etc) had fo be put down due to cancer when i wss 23. And like nershi waited so long(til I was 33) to get another. I dread the day my best buddy has to go. Haven't had a call or text or meet up with a long term friend since may. He's by my side every day. He's truly my best friend.
Hope you can take solace that you provided him the best life that they could have had and feel good about that and relive the memories.
Gf and I probably won't have kids...he is our kid. And well both be absolutely devastated when the day comes. We can only hope he has as long and enjoyable a life as yours had[/quote]
Thank you.Mine could not really hunt much the last two years his back legs went bad. No jump or spring left but was still great family dog the last two years. At some point I will get excited for the new one we have coming around March but that's a ways away. Glad I get to hunt alot this year keeps you busy and occupied.
